Lady Indians fall to Frankfort
The Berkeley Springs girls basketball team suffered a 49-35 road loss to Frankfort on December 19 in Ridgeley.
"We just got out played in every phase of the game," said Indian coach Dale McCumbee. "Deidra (Burch) was ill and that certainly affected us, but we didn't play as well as we can. When you're leading scorer and point guard is under the weather, someone else has to step up. We have to find a way to win when we face some adversity; that starts with consistency."
Frankfort started fast, building a 27-13 lead at the half, and then matched Berkeley Springs point for point in the second have to secure the 14-point win.
Casey Solomon led the Lady Indians with 10 points. Lauren Schetromf had nine points, Deidra and Casandra Burch scored five each, Caitlyn Napfel added four and Rachel Canterbury two.
Saydi Whiteman scored 17 points to pace the Falcons.
