The Path opens at Portals

Theresa Hutzel, a 10-year veteran of chiropractic and former Berkeley Springs practitioner and resident, has opened a wellness-oriented practice, The Path, at Portals in Berkeley Springs.

“We are very excited to have her back in town,” said Portals owner Tom Grinder.

Hutzel’s technique primarily uses a gentle, low force, instrument adjusting style that can be effective for individuals who do not care for more firm, manual style manipulations.

She introduces nutritional recommendations into her treatments, saying: "The human body of today is very different from the body of a hundred years ago. Healing requires a balancing of the structure, physiology and emotional state of an individual.”

“I have incorporated a great technique which utilizes some muscle response analysis which helps me evaluate the body more completely,” she said.

“To put it simply, some patients may not require continual weekly chiropractic adjustments, but rather they need a balancing of their biochemistry through dietary change, homeopathy or nutrition," she said.
“As I evolve as a healer and a person, so, too, do the methods and services I provide,” Hutzel said.

Hutzel’s services include chiropractic care, nutritional evaluations, homeopathy, education and inspiration for healing for people of all ages.
She plans to offer free Health Seekers classes monthly so individuals can learn more about her practice and methods, as well how to implement good self-care.
