Judge jails two people for violating probation

Two people were sentenced and probation was revoked for two others by Judge Gina Groh in Morgan County Circuit Court last week.

Stephen A. Wink, 50, of Crestview Drive, Berkeley Springs, was given a suspended sentence of one-to-three years in prison and placed on five years probation after pleading guilty to one count of failure to pay child support.

Wink must also make monthly payments of the money due, according to the Morgan County Circuit Clerk’s Office.

Kayla Jenkins was given a suspended sentence of a year in jail after pleading guilty to petit larceny, a misdemeanor offense.

Jenkins will be placed on two years probation and must pay restitution.

Sent to jail
Judge Groh revoked probation for Kevin R. Cain, 37, of Romney. Cain was on five years probation for failing to pay child support. He must now serve his original sentence of one-to-three years in prison.

Probation was also revoked for Samantha Bilka, who had been on three years probation for conspiring to pass a forged check. She will be sentenced on January 4.
