Recent sentences by Magistrate Kermit Ambrose:

Colleen Faithe Stender, 27, of Rainbow Hill Road, Ber-keley Springs, was bound over to the January Grand Jury after waiving preliminary hearings on felony charges of manufacturing a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver and conspiracy.

Four misdemeanor cases against John Allen Anderson, 54, of South Green Street, Berkeley Springs, were transferred to Morgan County Circuit Court. They involved charges of battery, domestic battery, intimidation and petit larceny.

Larry Allen Payne, Jr., 22, of River Road, Berkeley Springs, was given a suspended sentenced of six months in jail for domestic battery. He was placed on a year’s probation and must pay $191 fees.

Robert Lucas Mills, 24, of Spring Drive, Berkeley Springs, was given a suspended sentence of 15 days in jail and placed on six months probation for destruction of property. He must also pay $1,444 in restitution and court fees.

Gary Leo Duckwall, Jr., 44, of Spohrs Road, Berkeley Springs, was ordered to pay $486 fine & fees for driving under the influence of alcoholic beverages.

Haley A. Simpson, 22, of Breedens Addition Lane, Berkeley Springs, was ordered to pay $216 fine & fees for selling tobacco to a minor.
