Man gets 10-to-45 for sex offenses
A 44-year-old man was sentenced to 10-to-45 years in prison on September 19 after he pled guilty to sexual crimes involving a teenager.
Circuit Judge Gina Groh sentenced Ralph George Edwards to prison after he admitted to nine counts of third degree sexual assault and one count of sexual abuse by a minor’s custodian.
The sexual offenses took place between December 2008 and November 2009.
Burglary
Judge Groh handed down a suspended sentence of 1-to-15 years in prison for Joshua A. Schrider, 19, of Sleepy View Lane, Berkeley Springs, after Schrider pled guilty to the burglary of a home last October.
Schrider was placed on five years probation and must pay restitution to the homeowner.
Child neglect
Desiree N. Auger, 26, was given a suspended sentence of a year and two months in jail after pleading guilty to misdemeanor offenses of child neglect and breathing intoxicating compounds. She had been accused of using drugs around her one-year-son.
Auger was placed on five years probation.
