Governor to visit on Tuesday

Governor Joe Manchin will visit Morgan County on Tuesday morning, September 21, to recognize and present awards to a half dozen local businesses.
The governor will also present the Order of the 35th Star Award to a localresident. The award is named in honor of West Virginia becoming the 35th U.S. state on June 20, 1863 and is one of the highest honors a West Virginian can receive.
Morgan County Commission president Brenda Hutch-inson said the public is invited to attend.
The presentation of the awards by Governor Manchin will be at 10:30 a.m.
on the front porch of CNB Bank.
After the ceremony, the governor and first lady will walk to the new Morgan County Courthouse and be given a tour of by the county commissioners.
