Ralph W. Powers

1939-2010

Ralph William Powers, 70, of Slanesville, died Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at his home.

Born August 23, 1939, he was the son of the late Harold W. Powers and Frances Manning Powers.

He was a boilmaker with Local #193 and attended Bethel United Methodist Church.

He is survived by four daughters, Vickie Black, Saxton, Pa., Angie Becker, Hagerstown, Md., Karen Sue Powers, Dudley, Pa. and Kathy Luke, Claysburg, Pa.; one sister, Carolyn Covey, Paw Paw; two brothers, Edward Powers, Ridgeley and Lewis K. Powers, Paw Paw; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and a special friend, Bonnie Will.

Funeral services were held Sunday, August 1 at the Bethel United Methodist Church near Paw Paw with Pastor Harold George and Josh Miller officiating.
Burial was at the Bethel Cemetery.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Kimble Funeral Home in Paw Paw.
