Howard A. Gue

Howard Augustus Gue, 51, of Moorefield, died Sunday, August 1, 2010 at his home.

Born March 7, 1957 in Cheverly, Md., he was the son of Evelyn Virginia Hensley Gue Burton, Shippensburg, Pa. and the late Charles Augustus Lindbergh Gue.

He was a member of Warm Springs Baptist Church in Berkeley Springs.
He attended public schools in Prince George County, Md. and had worked at a masonry manufacturing plant in Manassas, Va.

He liked football and collected metal model cars.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by one son, Jason Wilder, Herndon, Va.; two sisters, Linda L. McCloskey, Shippensburg, Pa. and Barbara Belle Payne, Temple Hills, Md.; four brothers, Charles Edward Gue, Ridge, Md., Joseph Luther Gue, Dragstrip, N.C., Robert Lee Gue, Manassas, Va. and John Joseph Gue, Berkeley Springs and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Evelyn Pelletier and Myrtle Belle Gue and one brother, Guy Morris Gue.

The family will receive friends from 1-5 p.m. today, Wednesday, August 4 at the Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, where services will be conducted at 5 p.m. Pastor James Brady will officiate. Interment will be private.
