M. Maxine Hrapek
Mildred Maxine Gallion Hrapek, 80, of Berkeley Springs, died Saturday, July 31, 2010 at her home.
Born July 8, 1930 in Keyser, she was the daughter of the late Charles Frederick and Vauda Halbritter Moon.
She was a member of Berkeley Springs Presbyterian Church where she had served as a deacon and an elder and was a member of the Presbyterian Women. She retired from the U.S. Government where she had worked as a federal grants administrator.
She was a member of AARP, NARFE and TOPS and was active with the PASS Program in the Morgan County School System. She tutored students in Berkeley Springs, was a MCEIC volunteer and had been a homemaker in recent years.
She is survived by two sons, Frederick Vinton Gallion, Berkeley Springs and Robert Vause Gallion, Petersburg, Va.; one daughter, Victoria Lynn Ash, Berkeley Springs; two sisters, Carol Goldsworthy, Cumberland, Md. and Allene Parrish, Keyser; one brother, Donald Moon of California; four grandchildren, Robert Eugene Gallion, Germantown, Md., Jessica Lynn Ayers and Geoffrey Vinton Gallion, both of Mt. Airy, Md. and Amanda Jean Ash, Berkeley Springs; nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, August 3 at the Berkeley Springs Presbyterian Church, Berkeley Springs, with the Rev. Dr. Robert S. Osborne officiating. Interment was at Queens Meadow Point Cemetery, Keyser.
Arrangements were handled by Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, Berkeley Springs.
