Frontier suffers voicemail trouble
Over the past week many people have complained to The Morgan Messenger about the loss of their telephone voicemail service.
Karen Miller, Eastern regional Public and Com-munity Relations manager for Frontier Communications, said the voicemail system in the Martinsburg office failed on July 10 at 4 p.m.
The system was inherited from Verizon when Frontier took over all of Verizon’s land line services in West Virginia on July 1, she said.
Miller said the system was operating at a reduced capacity causing busy signals and loss of message waiting signals to customers.
Frontier flew in on-site vendor assistance and the system was restored to full service at 12:30 p.m. July 15.
Frontier General Manager Paul Espinosa said the outage affected 15,000 customers in Berkeley and Morgan counties.
“We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused Frontier customers,” Miller said.
