Wanda C. Kirkham

1921-2010

Wanda Carter Kirkham, 88 of Orlando, Fla., died April 16, 2010.
She was born June 15, 1921 in Great Cacapon, the daughter of the late Leroy G. and Hattie Pauline Carter.

She grew up in Hancock and graduated with the class of 1939. She visited the area many times.

She worked for American Airlines as a stewardess. She was a graduate of Towson State Teachers College in Towson, Md.

She was predeceased by her husband John A. Kirkham III in 2008.

She is survived by her two daughters, Connie Kupchunos, Ivorytown, Conn. and Cathy Lennon, New Smyrna Beach, Fla.; one son, John C. Kirkham, Longwood, Fla.; one brother, Leroy G. Carter, Jr., Sewell, N.J.; grandchildren, Heather Berntsen, Dana Wilson, Kay Lennon, Joseph Kirkham, Emily Kirkham; several nieces and one nephew.

A memorial service was held Tuesday, April 20 at the Collison Family Funeral Homes South Seminole Chapel, Longwood, Fla. Burial was at Meadowridge Memorial Park, Elkridge, Md.
