Mary A. Kyne

1925-2010

Mary Anna Jane Kyne, 84, of Berkeley Springs, died Monday, June 14, 2010 at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, Va.

Born October 27, 1925 in Morgan County, she was the daughter of the late William M. and Delva Mae Dawson Barker.

She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

She attended the Pleasant View School and retired, after 22 years of service, from the Interwoven Hosiery Mill.

She liked gardening cooking, canning and was sports enthusiant and an avid Nascar fan. She had been a homemaker in recent years.

She is survived by two sons, Terry A. Kyne and Ted S. Kyne, both of Berkeley Springs; one daughter, Donna K. Perry, Berkeley Springs; six grandchildren, Amanda Lee Comer, Highview, Renee Jennifer Young, Ashley Nicole Hovermale, Richard Steven Hovermale, Jeremy Scott Davis and Steven Vincent Kyne, all of Berkeley Springs; six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent Leo Kyne on November 10, 2001; one son, Richard Lee Kyne; two sisters, Georgetta Kesecker and Sarah Shade and four brothers, Charles Miller, Willie Miller, Charence “Bucky” Miller and Lewis Barber.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 17 at the Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, with Deacon Bob Lilly officiating. Interment will be at Greenway Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today, Wednesday, June 16 at the funeral home.
