Madelyn L. Chadwick

1908-2010

Madelyn L. Chadwick, 101, of Berkeley Springs, died Thursday, June 10, 2010 at Berkeley Springs Rehabilita-tion and Nursing.

She was born June 20, 1908 in Morgan County, daughter of the late George B. Lutman and Bessie O. Clark Lutman.

She was also preceded in death by her first husband, John M. Young, who died in 1968 and her second husband, Wyman H. Chadwick, who died in 1975; one daughter, Mary Bess Young Rice; one sister, Evva Gum and two brothers, Chester Paul Lutman and Wayne Lutman.

Surviving are several nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews and great-great nieces and great-great nephews.

She was a homemaker and was formerly employed by Lawyer’s Jewelry Store and a beautician at her mother’s beauty shop.

She was of the Protestant faith and a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

Services were at Hunter-Anderson Funeral Home, Berkeley Springs on Sunday, June 13 with Rev. Andrew Cooney officiating. Burial was in Greenway Cemetery.
