Jean E. Stanton
1929-2010
Jean Ensworth Stanton, 81, of Berkeley Springs, died Monday, May 31, 2010 at Frederick Villa in Baltimore, Md.
Born April 13, 1929 in Newark, N.J., she was the daughter of Madeline Ensworth Stanton.
From the age of three until 16 she grew up in Edgington Presbyterian Home for Girls in Baltimore.
She worked at McCormick & Company, Inc. for many years. When she retired in 1984, she moved to her Berkeley Springs property in Oakland Hills. She taught crafts to students and knitted garments for Nieman Marcus and other stores.
She liked knitting, quilting, music and animals.
She is survived by two daughters, Bonnie McDairmant and Brenda Engebrecht; five grandchildren Gregory Lamoree, Christopher and Jason Mizerny, Andrew and Brian Engebrecht and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Catonsville, Md. on Saturday, June 5.
