Rachel L. McBee

1914-2010

Rachel Lavern McBee, 95, of Berkeley Springs, died Thursday, June 3, 2010 at her residence while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.

Born June 26, 1914, in Morgan County, she was the daughter of the late Truman R. and Irene May Payne Werderbaugh.

She was a member of Mahnes Chapel United Methodist Church in Berkeley Springs.

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, Randolph Thompson, Hedgesville and H. Clay McBee, Jr., Berkeley Springs; four daughters, Wanita Ray, Sandy, Utah, Virginia Crofts, Martinsburg, Lizetta Jensen, Irons, Mich. and Vera E. Walls, Berkeley Springs; two sisters, Noramay “Jackie” Mellott and Ellen Norris, both of Hancock; 23 granddaughter; 51 great-grandchildren; 40 great-great-grandchildren and four great-great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two daughters, Louise Vanorsdale and Judy Ann McBee and two grandchildren.

Services and interment will be private.
