Room for all?

Dear Editor:

The new Courthouse is a very beautiful, large addition to our town center. Far more important than the design, stone and mortar are those who ably serve the community and will work inside. It seems to me there is plenty of room for those who do that.

While it is our county courthouse, the Town of Bath Council is an integral part of the immediate area, and is this not technically built on municipal property? There should be ample room for all the civil servants of the county as well as enhancing communication when we actually need to face each other daily, even amidst conflicts.

Distance breeds misperceptions and proximity promotes a higher level of communication whether folks agree or not, but at the very least, officials should stay aware of the many needs of our county and can more easily balance and share these issues.

I am sure our courthouse will serve us well both inside and out, and will include good security as well, once you enter the main door!
