Official vote totals from May 11 elections
The winners didn’t change and the numbers varied ever so slightly when the results of the May 11 elections were certified by the Morgan County Commissioners on Friday, May 14.
About 18% of the county’s registered voters turned out on Election Tuesday. Here are the official Morgan County vote totals, with the winners’ names in italics.
Nonpartisan races
School Board Election: Aaron T. Close, 1,323; David Ambrose, 1,166; Eric Kidwell, 718; Sheila Vinson, 351; Jennifer M. Wolfe, 313; John Westerfeld, 254; Tim Seims, 241.
Conservation District Supervisor: Robert Lin Dunham, Jr., 1,302.
Republican Primary Election
U. S. House of Representatives: Shelley Moore Capito, 1,022.
West Virginia Supreme Court: John Yoder, 876.
State Senator, 15th District: Greg Brown, 483; W. Page Noe, 305.
House of Delegates, 51st District: Daryl E. Cowles, 783.
House of Delegates, 52nd District: Larry D. Kump, 208.
Morgan County Circuit Clerk: Kimberly J. Jackson, 978.
Morgan County Commissioner: Bradley J. Close, 986.

The winners of the Republican and Democratic nominations will face off against each other in the General Election on Tuesday, November 2.
