Rescue Auxiliary gives $11,000 to Rescue Squad

The Morgan County Rescue Auxiliary gave a donation of $11,000 to the Morgan County Rescue Squad on December 14, 2009. The donation is to cover half of the cost for a heart monitor in one of the Rescue Squad Ambulances. The Auxiliary has been providing financial assistance to the Rescue Squad since the 1970s. They have helped to fund purchases of a stair chair, a new ambulance and also helped to cover employee salaries. The Auxiliary volunteers run the Morgan County Auxiliary Rescue Thrift Shop which is located on the corner of Concord Avenue and Broadway Street. The thrift shop sells recycled clothing, books, furniture, knick-knacks and other various items. Thrift shop hours are Monday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 Noon. Donations of reusable items in good working condition are welcome.
