Norma L. Hofe
1923-2007
Norma Louise Hofe, age 84, of Great Cacapon, W.Va., died on Sunday, December 2, 2007 at Morgan County War Memorial Hospital, Berkeley Springs, W.Va.
Born November 14, 1923 in Morgan County, she was the daughter of the late Emory and Susan Elizabeth Caldwell Miller.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Richard Hofe in 1983; one sister, Margaret Miller and two brothers, William Miller and Charles Miller.
Mrs. Hofe graduated from Berkeley Springs High School.
She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Great Cacapon, W.Va.
She was employed at Tomato Canning Factories in Morgan County and at Interwoven Mill in Berkeley Springs for several years and then as a homemaker in her later years.
She enjoyed cooking and sewing. She was a former recipient of The Community Volunteer of the Year Award and a former 4-H Leader.
She is survived by one son, Philip Hofe, Great Cacapon, W.Va.; two daughters, Jocelyn Hofe, Stielacoom, Wa. and Angela Stohl, Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; eight grandchildren Jimmy Perry, Abby Hofe, Emily & Kelsey McCoy, David, Olivia, Hannah & John Stohl; two great grandchildren, Kaylene and Hunter Perry.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, December 6, 2007, at Calvary United Methodist Church, Great Cacapon, W.Va., with Rev. Barry Dillon officiating. Burial will be in Great Cacapon Cemetery, Great Cacapon, W.Va.
The family will receive friends at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, Inc., 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va., on Wednesday, December 5, 2007 from 7-9 p.m.
