Lee N. Prince

1920-2007

Lee N. Prince, 86, of Chantilly, Va., died Friday, November 23, 2007 at INOVA Fair Oaks Hospital in Fairfax, Va.

Born December 9, 1920 in Lumberton, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Maie Britt Mayes.

She was of the Baptist faith.

She attended public schools in Robeson County, N.C. and has worked as a licensed practical nurse at Kings Daughters Hospital in Martinsburg and in nursing homes in Whiteville, N.C.

She liked painting animals and landscapes and had been a homemaker in recent years.

She is survived by one daughter, Betty R. Mann, Chantilly; one brother, Milton R. Mayes, Evergreen, N.C.; three grandsons, Chris Mann, Vienna, Va.; John Mann, Leesburg, Va. and Brandon Mann, Sterling, Va.; great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd Herman "John" Sheppard and one sister, Janice Sheperd.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, November 27 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, Berkeley Springs, with Bishop Chris Fields officiating. Interment was in Friendship Cemetery.
