Nancy L. Dunham

1935-2007

Nancy Lee Dunham, 72, of Ormond Beach, Fla., died at home on Friday, November 16, 2007, following a lengthy illness.

Born January 12, 1935, in Hagerstown, Md., she was the daughter of the late William L. Hankey and Evelyn Noel. Following her mother's death, she was raised by her aunt and uncle, Mildred and Roy French, of Hagerstown. The Frenches moved to Berkeley Springs in 1951 where Nancy attended Berkeley Springs High School.

A member of the Methodist Church, she enjoyed cooking, traveling, bridge and reading.

She lived with her husband and family on both government and civilian assignments in Europe, Asia and South America. The Dunhams first moved to Ormond Beach in 1969 and returned there in 2000 after moving to Hilton Head Island, SC in 1987.

In addition to her parents and the Frenches, she was preceded in death by one sister, Barbara Hankey Morgan.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Millard A. Dunham, a Morgan County native; two sons, David K. Dunham, Winona Lake, Ind., and E. Scott Dunham, Daytona Beach, Fla.; one daughter, Donna L. Dunham, Windermere, Fla., and one granddaughter, Melissa Dorff, Windermere, Fla.

Services were held Tuesday, November 20, at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, Ormond Beach, with Reverend Lynnette Barnes officiating.
