Mary L. Hill

1934-2007

Mary L. Hill, age 73, of Fulton Street, Hancock, Md., died Thursday, November 15, 2007 at the Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown, Md., surrounded by her loving family.

Born June 29, 1934 in Hancock, Md., she was the daughter of the late Cleveland and Mary Reed Shoemaker and the widow of Kenneth S. Hill, who died February 28, 1993.

She and her late husband owned and operated Hill's Radio and T.V. in Hancock, Md. She was more recently employed with Sheetz, Inc., Berkeley Springs, W.Va. and Hancock, Md.

She was a member of the Orchard Ridge First Church of God and a member of the Webster B. Harrison Post #26 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Hancock, Md.

She is survived by three daughters, Donna Kay Weller of Warfordsburg, Pa., Brenda L. Morris of Hagerstown, Md and Cathy A. Arnold of Hancock, Md.; two sons, Roger L. Hensley of Warfordsburg, Pa. and Gary W. Hensley of Hancock, Md.; one step-son, Nicholas V. Hill of Clear Spring, Md.; five sisters, Charlotte Keifer of Hagerstown, Md., Lou Swain, Ann Knable, Faye Corbett and Phyllis Shives, all of Hancock, Md.; one brother, Stanley Shoemaker of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Buddy Shoemaker, Jr. and Roy Shoemaker and one grandson, Scotty Allen Weller.

A service was held Sunday, November 18, at 2 p.m. at the Orchard Ridge First Church of God. Rev. Jeff Hawbaker officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.
