Lyle O. Stuckey



1933-2007

Lyle Otterbein Stuckey, 74, of Hedgesville, died Sunday, November 11, 2007 at his residence.

Born June 19, 1933 in Morgan County, he was the son of the late Otterbein Win and Effie Lee DeHaven Stuckey.

He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Sleepy Creek.

He attended Red Hill School.

He served in the United States Army.

He worked as an electrician rebuilding motors for Biedlers Electric Motor Repair in Martinsburg.

He is survived by one daughter, Debra L. Miller, Hedgesville; two sons, David Stuckey and Gregory Stuckey, both of Hedgesville; one stepdaughter, Sue Voorhees, Gerrardstown; one stepson, James Rowland, Hedgesville; one sister, Geraldine Hill, Falling Waters; six grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Madeline Pentoney and Bernice Norris; five brothers, Vance Evon Stuckey, Kenneth Delbert Stuckey, Morris Lee Stuckey, Loyl Douglas Stuckey and Dalton Win Stuckey.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, November 14, at Grace United Methodist Church, Sleepy Creek, with Reverend Kathy Spitzer officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Sleepy Creek, with military graveside honors by the Tri-State Honor Guard.

The Helsley-Johnson Funeral Berkeley Springs handled the arrangements.
