Nellie V. Stotler
1917-2007
Nellie Virginia Stotler, 90, of Great Cacapon, died on Thursday, November 8, 2007 at NMS Healthcare of Hagerstown.
Born February 5, 1917 in Hagerstown, Md., she was the daughter of the late Dayton V. and Grace Peck Kidwell.
She was a member of Peoples Assembly of God in Great Cacapon.
She attended public schools in Great Cacapon.
She had worked seasonally at Little Miss Cannery.
She had been a homemaker in recent years.
She is survived by two daughters, Bernice Gloyd and Patricia Brown, both of Great Cacapon; two sons, Dwan Farris, Berkeley Springs and Neal Farris, Rome, Ohio; two sisters, Alta Johnson, Berkeley Springs and Mary Ellen Bly, Great Cacapon; three brothers, Earl Kidwell, Eugene Kidwell and Carl Kidwell, all of Great Cacapon; 13 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren, a number of great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Bernard M. Farris in 1952; her second husband, Howard Ercel Stotler in 2003; one son, Glen Farris; two brothers, Robert Kidwell and Wilbur Kidwell; three grandchildren, Darla McCarty, Ronnie Brown and Aaron Farris.
Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, November 10, at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, Berkeley Springs with Pastor Jeff Dissmore officiating. Interment was in Great Cacapon Cemetery.
