Winifred R. Hiles

1940-2007

Winifred Ruth Hiles, 67, of Berkeley Springs, died Saturday, November 10, 2007 at her home.

Born February 29, 1940 in Great Cacapon, she was the daughter of the late Scott and Ruth Porter Holliday.

She was a member of Word of Deliverance Church in Berkeley Springs.

She attended public schools in Great Cacapon.

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, John Thomas Hiles, Sr., at home; two sons, John Thomas Hiles, Jr. and Michael Lenwood Hiles; one daughter, Angela Elaine Hiles, all at home; four sisters, Jean Spring and Pat Barker, both of Great Cacapon, Peggy Kelley, Berkeley Springs and Betty See, Strasburg, Va. and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Raymond Holliday, Butch Holliday and Archie Holliday.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, November 13 at Word of Deliverance Church, Berkeley Springs, with Pastor Lisa Unger officiating. Interment was at Mt. Pleasant Church Cemetery.
