Charles R. Fouke, Jr.

1921-2007

Charles Russell Fouke, Jr., 86, of Berkeley Springs, died Friday, November 2, 2007 at Berkeley Springs Rehabilitation & Nursing while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.

Born July 28, 1921 in Hagerstown, Md., he was the son of the late Charles Russell, Sr. and Ruth Keller Fouke.

He was a Protestant.

He was a 1939 graduate of Hagerstown High School.

He had owned and operated Fouke Chevrolet in Hancock.

He served as a staff sergeant with the 319th Infantry Regiment of the U.S. Army during World War II and saw combat duty in France, Luxembourg and Germany.

He is survived by two sons, Randall R. Fouke, Berkeley Springs and Ronald L. Fouke, Killingworth, Conn.; one daughter, Ann F. Fouke, Arlington, Va.; two grandchildren and one great grandson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Constance Marie Cruber Fouke on May 17, 1999 and one sister, Iris Fouke.

Services and interment will be private.
