Patricia A. Needham
1938-2007
Patricia Anne Needham, 69, of Berkeley Springs, died, Sunday, October 21, 2007 at her home while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.
Born July 9, 1938 in Chicago, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Edward Alan and Elizabeth Suzanne Shriner O'Brien.
She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Berkeley Springs. She was a graduate of Visitation High School in Chicago and was a homemaker. She was a member of Hemlock Homemakers Club in Berkeley Springs and an active community volunteer. She taught quilting classes at Grace United Methodist Church and liked gardening and cooking.
She is survived by three sons, John James Needham, Jr., McConnellsburg, Pa., Brian Edward Needham, Greencastle, Pa. and Wayne P. Needham, Berkeley Springs; one sister, Carol Elizabeth Judge, Oak Forest, Ill.; four grandchildren, Brian E. Needham, Jr., Greencastle, Peter James Needham, Alicia Needham and Joseph Needham, all of McConnellsburg; two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John James Needham, Sr., on February 8, 2006, one son, Christopher Gerard Needham on November 22, 2006, one sister, Marilyn Stramaccia and an infant brother.
Funeral services will be conducted at 6 p.m. on Friday, October 26, at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, with Fr. Leonard A. Smith officating. Interment will be private.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday and 2-4 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
