Chief Deputy Vince Shambaugh reported these recent calls from October 2 through October 15:

October 2

Minor accident on Route 13 school bus and delivery truck hooked mirrors.

Overdose on Mesner Road. Assisted MCRS.

Two vehicle accident on Martinsburg Road. One person medevaced for injuries.

Arrest of Stephen Myers for domestic battery.

October 3

Outdoor/illegal burn on Jim West Road.

Shooting within 500' of a residence on Johnny Cake Road. Spoke with accused, advised of state law.

Leash law violation on Detour Road. Located and advised dog owners of local laws.

Recovery of dumped items on Mauzy Road. Items may be stolen, investigation continues.

Possession of a controlled substance investigated at BSHS. Juvenile charges pending.

October 4

Suspicious vehicle complaint in the Unger Store area. Area patrolled, nothing found.

Malicious wounding report taken on Dense Oak Lane. Charges are pending.

October 5

Domestic dispute on Martinsburg Road. Physical altercation due to medical condition, assisted family and EMS.

October 6

Sheriff's K-9 Vehicle Search on Fairfax Street. Small quantity of suspected crack cocaine located, driver arrested for possession of that substance.

Arrest of Herbert A. Carpenter for possession of a controlled substance.

Domestic dispute on Saw Mill Lane resulting in the arrest of Michael Malone for domestic battery and subsequently for a home confinement revocation.

October 7

Brandishing complaint taken on Magnolia Road.

Unauthorized use of a vehicle report taken on Cold Run Valley Road.

Welfare check on Gemstone Lane.

Domestic dispute on Quaint Acres Lane. Verbal dispute.

Single vehicle accident report taken on 522 north.
