E. Regina Manning

1926-2007

E. Regina Manning, 81, of Crosswinds, Wilmington, N.C., died Thursday, September 27, 2007 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center after a sudden illness.

She was born in Hancock, August 25, 1926, the daughter of the late Austin and Anna Mae Miller McCusker.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Urcel McCusker and one sister, Anna Louise Kidwell.

Before retiring to Wilmington in 1994, she and her husband of 59 years, the Reverend Harold Manning, pastored Presbyterian churches in Winchester, Va.; Richmond, Va.; Chase City, Va.; Wylliesburg, Va.; Castle Hayne, N.C. and Wilmington.

In addition to her husband, surviving are one daughter, Rebecca Gibson, Wilmington; one son Todd Manning, Wake Forest; two grandsons, Michael and Brian Gibson; one great-granddaughter; four brothers, Loyal, Kenneth, Lester and Gail McCusker, all of Maryland; one sister, Marian Kerns, Berkeley Springs.

A graveside funeral service was held Saturday, September 29, at Greenlawn Memorial Park with the Reverend Robert Bankhead conducting the service.
