Lady Pirates Volleyball Team 4-2

Last week the Lady Pirates traveled to Hancock and were defeated 3-0 by the Lady Panthers. Game scores were 25-13, 25-19 and 25-13, Brittany Kerns had five service points, one kill, one ace and Erica Zaragoza added four service points. Megan Hendrickson, Lindsey Kidwell and Chalsea Wells each added three service points.

In the JV contest the Lady Pirates won 2-0, 25-23 was the score of each game. Morgann Moser, Sierra Hott and Sciley Neufeld each had five service points and Jordan Kendall added four service points.

On Wednesday night the Pirates hosted the Lady Yellow Jackets of Moorefield. In a varsity game the Lady Pirates defeated the Yellow Jackets 3-1. Moorefield took game 1, 25-22 and the Pirates rallied back and won the next three games, 25-22, 25-18 and 25-20. Leading scorer was Amanda Carder with 14 service points, six acres and one kill. Erica Zaragoza had nine service points, one ace, one kill; Megan Hendrickson added eight service points, two aces along with Brittany Kerns having six service points, seven aces, four kills and two blocks. The varsity record is now 4-2.

In the JV contest the Lady Pirates won 2-0, 25-14 for each game. Leading scorer was Brittney Alt with a team high of 10 service points, one ace, and one kill. Morgann Moser had eight service points and Sierra Hott added seven service points, three aces and one kill. The JV record is now 3-0. Both teams travel to Moorefield on Tuesday and Bishop Walsh, Md. on Friday.
