Melvin W. Peck, Jr.

1944-2007

Melvin William "Egghead" Peck, Jr., 63, of Martinsburg, died Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at Ruxton Health of Winchester, Va.

Born August 20, 1994 in Berkelely Springs, he was the son of the late Melvin William, Sr., and Mary Belle Stotler Peck.

He was a member of Love Assembly of God in Berkeley Springs. He attended Berkeley Springs High School. He was a member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1483 and the Junior Order of United American Mechanics Council #117, both in Berkeley Springs. Prior to his retirement, he had worked as a cable splicer with Western Union.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Lou Miller Peck, at home; one brother, Ronald Lee Peck, Berkeley Springs; one niece, one great niece and several cousins.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday, September 16, at Love Assembly of God, Berkeley Springs, with Pastor Dave Kidwell officiating. Private interment was in Greenway Cemetery.

A Junior Order Memorial Service was held Saturday at the Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, Berkeley Springs.
