Lady Pirates go one for one

The Lady Pirates traveled to Moorefield last Tuesday evening and were defeated 3-2.

Moorefield took the first two games 25-18 and 25-17 and game five 15-12, Paw Paw took games three, 25-23 and four 25-20.

Brittney Kerns led the Pirates with 10 service points, 10 sets, one kill and six digs. Other scoring came from Amanda Carder with eight service points, Chalsea Wells with eight service points and one kill and Megan Hendrickson and Sierra Hott each added seven service points and Lindsey Kidwell added six points.

On Friday night the Pirates defeated Calvary Christian Academy 3-0. Carder had a team-high 15 service points and Kerns added 13 points and an ace. The Lady Pirates won by scores of 25-11, 26-24 and 25-14. Other scoring came from Hendrickson who chipped in with nine points and an ace. Kidwell and Wells added five points for the Pirates.

The Pirates return to action Monday night at WV School of Deaf and at home on Thursday at 6 p.m. against Mount View Christian Academy.
