Joseph M. McCabe

1934-2007

Joseph Martin McCabe, 73, of Falling Waters, died Sunday, August 19, 2007.

He was born April 17, 1934 in Washington D.C. and raised in Denver, Colo.

He served as a professor in Navy programs at the University of Minnesota and Harvard College and joined the faculty of the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md. Following his retirement from the Navy, McCabe pursued a career in federal service.

After retiring from federal service in 1984, he moved to West Virginia and began a new career as a playwright.

He lived in Morgan County before moving to Falling Waters.

He is survived by his wife Hilda Eiber; one sister, Margaret M. McCabe; one brother, Michael J. McCabe; four children; four step-children; 10 step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.

A memorial will be held October 14 at the family home in Falling Waters.
