Man sentenced for firearm sale

A Paw Paw area man was recently sentenced in U. S. District Court in Martinsburg for illegal sale of a firearm.

Frank Simon, 62, was sentenced by U. S. District Judge John P. Bailey to 18 months in prison on July 30. After his prison time, Simon will be subject to two years of supervision.

Simon pled guilty on April 3 to selling a firearm at his store, Pin Oak Odds & Ends, to a person he knew had been convicted of a felony, according to court records. The sale took place in May, 2005.
