Barbara A. Shinnick

1938-2007

Barbara Ann Shinnick, 69, of Berkeley Springs, died Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at Berkeley Springs Rehabilitation & Nursing.

Born April 2, 1938 in Howard County, Md., she was the daughter of the late Herbert Lee and Florence Eva Yowell Johnson.

She was of the Protestant faith. She attended public schools in Damascus, Md., and has worked as a waitress. She liked crafts and shopping for antiques and collectibles. She has been a homemaker in recent years.

She is survived by three sisters, Helen L. Curtin and Evelyn Walters, both of Frederick, Md. and Doris Johnson, Westminter, Md.; two brothers, Jimmy Johnson, Tavares, Fla. and Jerry Johnson, California and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David M. Shinnick on November 19, 2002, and two brothers, Herbert Johnson and Floyd Johnson.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, August 18 at Resthaven Memorial Gardens Chapel in Frederick.
