Ada S. McNabb

1926-2007

Ada S. McNabb, 81, of Peoria, Ill., died Friday, August 17, 2007 at the Apostolic Christian Skylines in Peoria.

Born August 9, 1926, in Great Cacapon, she was the daughter of the late Wilson L. and Zula Wisner Spring.

She remained an active member of the Peoria community until a stroke limited her activities.

She is survived by four daughters, Susan M. McNabb, Falls Church, Va., Nancy M. McNabb, Washington, D.C., Beth McNabb, Asheville, N.C. and Michele Anderson, Chillicothe, Ill.; two sons, John McNabb, Los Angelos, Calif. and Jeff McNabb, Chillicothe; one sister, Mae Pease, Westminster, Md.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. John W. McNabb, Sr.; one brother, Luther Spring; and three sisters, Winnie Layton, Geraldine Cooke and Ina Spring.

Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. today, Wednesday, August 22, at Wright and Salmon Mortuary with Pastor Gerald Freudenburg officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday at the mortuary. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 25 at Mt. Nebo Cemetery in Great Cacapon.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association or Apostolic Christian Skylines.
