John A. Smith

1966-2007

John A. Smith, 41, of Hancock, died Thursday, August 2, 2007 at his home.

Born March 28, 1966 in Berkeley Springs, he was the son of John B. Smith of Hancock and the late June H. Creek Smith.

He was employed with C. Wm Hetzer as a heavy equipment operator.

He attended the Hancock Church of God.

Besides his father he is survived by one sister, Debbie Dawson, Great Cacapon; two brothers, Eddie Smith, Big Pool, Md. and Brad Smith, Hancock.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Amanda Dawn Smith and one brother, Greg Smith.

A service was held Saturday, August 4 at the Hancock Church of God, Rev. Carl Harper officiated. Burial was in the Tonoloway Primitive Baptist Cemetery, near Hancock, MD.

Arrangements were handled by Grove Funeral Home, Hancock.
