Carlton S. Bridge, Sr.

1928-2007

Carlton S. Bridge, Sr., 79, of Great Cacapon, formerly of High Bridge, N.J., died Monday, July 23, 2007 at his residence while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.

Born January 25, 1928 in Camden, N.J., he was the son of the late Charles and Romaine Sommers Bridge.

He attended public school in New Jersey. He was a supervisor, employed by Trediger Industries, Flemington, N.J. for 35 years retiring in 1992. He was a veteran of WWII, serving with the U.S. Army as a Technician, fourth grade. He was a member of Risinger-Stotler VFW Post #4019 and the Alderton-Dawson American Legion Post #60, both of Berkeley Springs.

He is survived by one daughter, Susan Beavers, New Jersey; four sons, Richard Bridge, Great Cacapon, David Bridge, Gene Bridge and Carlton Bridge, Jr., all of New Jersey; six grandchildren; one sister, Elsie Supplee, New Jersey; two brothers, Alfred Bridge and Eugene Bridge, both of New Jersey.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marianne Bridge and one brother, Charles Bridge.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, July 28 at DeVoe Funeral Services Inc., Washington, N.J. Interment in Spruce Run Cemetery, Lebanon Township, N.J.
