Miguel A. Perez
1933-2007
Miguel Angel Perez, 74, of Berkeley Springs, died Tuesday, July 17, 2007 at Berkeley Springs Rehab & Nursing.
He was born in Puerto Rico June 6, 1933, son of the late Miguel Perez.
He was of the Catholic faith.
He retired as Sgt. Major in the U.S. Army after 30 years service. He worked for Department of Defense at Ft. Meade, Md. for 11 years and was decorated a Vietnam Veteran with the U.S. Army.
He was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees; Alderton-Dawson American Legion, Post #60, Berkeley Springs; life member of the Benjamin B. French Masonic Lodge, Washington, D.C.; and was a semi-pro boxer in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanor Hall Perez, Berkeley Springs. They were married September 10, 1989.
He is also survived by one step daughter, Laura Owens, Arnold, Md.; one son, Michael A. Perez, New Holland, Pa.; three step sons, Harold Bunker and Philip Andrew Bunker both of Berkeley Springs and Daniel L. Bunker, Sharpsburg, Md.; numerous sisters and brothers; six grandchildren Joshua, Jennifer, Ashley and Michael Perez, Alexis Owens and William Bunker.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Jacqueline Perez Brown.
Services private. Burial at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va.
Arrangements were handled by Hunter-Anderson Funeral Home, Berkeley Springs.
