Two sentenced in circuit court
Judge Gina Groh sentenced two men and revoked the probation of a third during recent hearings in Morgan County Circuit Court.
Daniel H. Kerns, 22, of Berkeley Springs was sent to the Anthony Center for Youthful Offenders after pleading no contest to delivery of a controlled substance last year. Kerns will serve from six months to two years at the Anthony Center and will then be returned here to see if a further sentence is necessary.
The judge handed down a suspended sentence of one year in prison for Michael T. MacCumbee, 30, of Winchester. MacCumbee pled guilty to failure to pay child support and was placed on five years probation. He must also make payments on his child support.
Judge Groh revoked the probation of Carl G. Wolford, Jr., 37, of Romney. She ordered Wolford to serve the remaining 34 days of a sentence for drug possession, after which he will be placed back on probation for one and one half years.
