Catherine A. Wandless

1938-2007

Catherine Ann "Pretzel" Wandless, 69, of Hancock died Thursday, June 28, 2007, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Cumberland.

Born May 5, 1938, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Lillian Arbutus Brown.

Her husband, Frederick Lee Wandless, died January 2, 2005.

She was a homemaker.

She was of the Protestant faith.

She is survived by three daughters, Lois Golliday and Chris Fox, both of Berkeley Springs and Sherry Appel, of Hancock; five sisters, Dorothy Kerns, Berkeley Springs, Ruth Porter, Ridgeley, Naomi Lynch, Sharon Cowgill and Janice McBride, all of Cumberland; three brothers, James Brown, Flint Hill, Va., Arthur Brown and Harley Brown, both of Cumberland; seven grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.

Services were held Monday, July 2, at Grove Funeral Home in Hancock. The Rev. Patricia C. Dols officiated. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
