Ranson-Bergen wedding
Crystal Marie Bergen of Berkeley Springs, and Sean Fitzgerald Ranson of Tega Cay, S.C. were married August 26, 2006, at First United Methodist Church in Berkeley Springs.
She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Bergen of Berkeley Springs and the groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Ranson of Tega Cay.
The Rev. Andrew Cooney performed the double-ring ceremony. The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a gown of white organza with a strapless bodice of alencon lace, seed pearls and crystals. The fitted waistline featured a satin belt and the full skirt flowed into a chapel-length train. She wore a pearl headband and fingertip satin banded veil. Her cascading bouquet consisted of mixed summer flowers with white, pink and yellow roses.
Maid of honor was Rebecca Schultz. Bridesmaids were, Jessica Beadenkophf, cousin of the bride, Megan Close, friend of the bride, and Amanda Diver and Shelby O'Rourke, college teammates of the bride.
Flower girl was Alexandria Linebrink, cousin of the groom. Ring bearer was Patrick Linebrink, cousin of the groom.
The groom's father was the best man. Ushers and groomsmen were Michael Ranson, brother of the groom, Charlie Bergen, brother of the bride, Phil Russel, high school friend of the groom, and Lucas Jones and Steven Scott, college teammates of the groom.
The bride's mother wore a rose colored, satin and chiffon tiered floor-length dress with a shirred front that culminated with a glittering rhinestone brooch. The groom's mother wore a taupe organza floor-length gown with a portrait neckline and rouched, beaded bodice.
A reception was held at Cacapon State Park with dinner and dancing.
After a honeymoon trip to Ocho Rios, Jamaica, the couple settled in Raleigh, N.C. The bride graduated from Lynchburg College in Virginia and is employed with H.H.Hunt Property Management. The groom graduated from Lynchburg College of Virginia and is employed as a territory sales manager for Phillip Morris USA in Raleigh.
