Rose J. Reed

1935-2007

Rose Jacqueline "Jackie" Reed, 71, of Great Cacapon, died Friday, June 29, 2007 in Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, Va.

Born December 13, 1935, in Jonesboro, Ariz., she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Inez Bartley Meyer.

She married John Ralph Reed on June 8, 1965, who survives.

She graduated from the Arkansas State University with a B.S. in Education, majoring in art. She volunteered at the Smithsonian Institute and liked working with ancient Indian artifacts and pottery.

She is survived by her husband, John R. Reed; one son, John P. Reed, Chapel Hill, N.C.; one daughter, Susan Feinwick Kaempfer, Switzerland; five grandchildren and one sister, Ann Camile Perry, Ariz.

A celebration of life was held Sunday, July 1 at the Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, Berkeley Springs.
