Johnny V. Moltzer
1921-2007
Johnny Victor Moltzer, 85, of Bunker Hill, died at City Hospital, Martinsburg, Monday, June 25, 2007.
He was born December 22, 1921 in Eureka Center, Wis., son of the late John and Hannah Erickson Moltzer.
He was a veteran having served his country during World War II with the U.S. Army/Air Corps in the Pacific Theater.
He married Lela Kitchens, August 17, 1946.
Surviving are two sons, John W. Moltzer, Waco, Texas and Johnny D. Moltzer, Bunker Hill; two daughters, Gloria J. Ryan and Ruby Mae Fries, both of Bunker Hill; ten grandchildren, David, James, and Vickie Ryan, Dawn Klinger, Kenneth Stotler, John and Mindy Moltzer, James and Kimberly Moltzer and Bruce Hawkins; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Ida Packard, St. Croix Falls, Wis., and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lela Kitchens Moltzer; one brother, Erick Moltzer and two sisters, Elvira Lundgren and Helen Carlson.
He was a former member of the American Legion in Paw Paw and the DAV.
A military graveside service was held Tuesday, July 3, at Waco Memorial Park in Waco, with Rev. Ed Brentham of Belton, Texas, officiating.
Local and coordinating arrangements were made by Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg.
