Adventist Vacation Bible School

A six-day interfaith morning Vacation Bible School will open Monday, June 25, running 9 a.m. to 12 noon, in the Fellowship Hall of the Berkeley Springs Seventh-day Adventist Church, 3606 Valley Road (US 522 South), according to Pastor Hal Butman.

It will be geared especially for children ages three through 13 years of age. It will continue through Saturday morning, June 30, and be free of charge to the public.

A direct youth-to-youth approach will be continued again this year, with Carrie Hahn, 16, taking the primary leadership role in both planning and execution. They will be assisted behind the scenes by their mother, Debbie Hahn and by Heidi Marte, director of the congregation's Youth Ministries department. The theme for this year's VBS at the Adventist Church will be "Jesus at the Seaside."

For the second consecutive year VBS participants will conclude their week of activities on Saturday morning by presenting a program at the regular weekly 11 a.m. worship hour at the local Adventist Church on June 30, instead of Pastor Butman presenting his customary Sabbath sermon.

For further information concerning this year's six-day VBS, inquiries may be made directly either to the Hann sisters at 258-3888, or to Heidi Marte, congregational Youth Ministries director, at 258-0264.
