Mary Lucille Barker, 84, Berkeley Springs, died Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at her home while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.
Born February 16, 1923 in Berkeley Springs, she was the daughter of the late Robert Boyd Stotler, Sr. and Valda Crothers Stotler.
She was a member of the Word of Deliverance Church.
She attended the Annex School, was a graduate of Berkeley Springs High School and attended Strayer Business College in Philadelphia, Pa. She worked as one of the last telephone operators with C & P Telephone and retired in 1989 as a telephone operator with U.S. Silica in Berkeley Springs. She liked camping, reading, cooking and had been a homemaker in recent years.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Clarence Junior Barker, at home; one daughter, Elizabeth Ann Ditto, Berkeley Springs; one brother, Gerald Dennis Stotler, Marietta, Pa.; one granddaughter, Lisa Jo Fritz, Berkeley Springs; one great granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Craig Jerome Barker; one grandson, Robert Augusta McCollum, Jr.; and three brothers, Robert Boyd Stotler, Jr., Donald Jerome Stotler and Jean Paul Stotler.
Graveside funeral services were conducted Thursday, June 7 at Friendship Cemetery with Pastors Jack and Shirley Hiles officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle, 122 Waverly Court, Martinsburg, WV 25403.
Arrangements were handled by the Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, Berkeley Springs.
