Bath voters to pick mayor and council

Town of Bath voters will choose a mayor, town recorder and five council members in the Bath Municipal Election next Tuesday, June 12.

Seeking the mayor's post in the nonpartisan election are Susan J. Webster, who has been mayor since 1996, and write-in candidate Barb Campbell, a newcomer to local politics.

Garnet Marsh is unopposed in her bid for reelection to a second term as Town Recorder.

Eight candidates are running for the five town council seats. They are: David Crosby, incumbent; Dave Duncan, former councilman; Kenny Easton, incumbent; Nancy Russell Harvey, incumbent; Dale Lutman, incumbent; Scott Merki; Ryan Rebant; and Jim Slough.

Michelle Ritchie is also listed on the ballot, but told The Morgan Messenger last week that she is withdrawing from the race. Rebecca Mallory also withdrew her candidacy and is not listed on the ballot.
