Daniel P. Chalupka, Sr.

1959-2007

Daniel Paul Chalupka, Sr., 48, of Berkeley Springs, died Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at Morgan County War Memorial Hospital in Berkeley Springs.

Born March 16, 1959 in Hagerstown, Md., he was the son of the late Paul and Lizetta Ruth Spiker Chalupka.

He was of the Protestant faith.

He was a 1977 graduate of Hancock High School.

He was the owner/operator of Potomac Heating & Air, an HVAC service company in Berkeley Springs.

He was a member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1483 and Alderton-Dawson American Legion Post #60, both in Berkeley Springs. He played the bass guitar and had been a member of the band "Major Moves."

He is survived by one son, Daniel Paul Chalupka, Jr., Berkeley Springs; two brothers, Michael W. Chalupka, Berkeley Springs and Gerald A. Chalupka, Warfordsburg, Pa.; one granddaughter, Courtney Danielle Chalupka, Berkeley Springs; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, June 2, at Wesleyan Chapel, Harrison Avenue and Vernon Lane, Berkeley Springs, with Rev. William C. Swope officiating. Interment private.

Arrangements were handled by the Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, Berkeley Springs.
