Rabies clinics set for June

Four rabies clinics remain in a series organized by the Morgan County Commissioners and local veterinarians Dr. Jane Doyle and Dr. Sally Pepper.

State law requires that dog and cats must be immunized against rabies. For many years, the commissioners have held rabies clinics around the county. The first in this year's series took place last night at Pleasant View Community Center with Dr. Pepper.

The remaining schedule is:

—South Morgan Fire Hall on Tuesday, June 5, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. with Dr. Pepper.

—Morgan County Volunteer Rescue Center, Berkeley Springs, on Saturday, June 9, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with Dr. Doyle.

—Paw Paw Fire Hall on Saturday, June 23, from 10 a.m. to noon, with Dr. Doyle.

—Great Cacapon Fire Hall on Saturday, June 23, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., with Dr. Doyle.

There is a $6 charge for each vaccination. All dogs must be on a leash. Cats and ferrets must be in secure boxes or carriers.
