Barbara K. VanMetre

1956-2007

Barbara Kay Boden VanMetre, 51, of Hagerstown, Md., died Monday, May 14, 2007 at the Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown.

Born February 28, 1956 in Berkeley Springs, she was the daughter of Ruby Betie Lee Crouse Boden of Hancock and the late Elmer Thomas Boden.

She attended Hancock High School.

She was a CNA employed with the Village in Robinwood.

Besides her mother she is survived by her husband, Mark A. VanMetre who she married June 12, 1999; one daughter, Christy Ray, Warfordsburg,Pa.; two sons, Scott Keefer, Hancock and Timothy Keefer, Hagerstown; four sisters, Carol Yost, Glenda Pryor, Cindy Golden and Melissa Lapinski all of Hancock; one brother, Wayne Boden, Hagerstown; six grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Deborah Longerbeam and Lois Ann Boden and two brothers, Keith Boden and an infant.

A service was held Friday, May 18 at the Grove Funeral Home, Hancock, Md. Rev. Dave Kidwell officiated. Burial was in the Parkhead Cemetery, Big Pool, Md.

Arrangements were handled by Grove Funeral Home, Hancock.
